We are a Roman Catholic church and school in East Vancouver, where
our multicultural faith community gathers together to worship, learn
and live in the love of our Lord. |

Our community has many cultural faces, but one heart. From
the First Nations peoples who have long inhabited British
Columbia, through various waves of European immigrants who
settled in East Vancouver, and more recently peoples from
Pacific Rim countries and a scattering from other parts of
the Americas and the world, we joyfully express our faith
in our one Lord. Vietnamese, Filipino and many other nationalities
welcome you here.
|
| The story of our Lady of Lavang tells it well. As our Lady
of Guadalupe appeared with Mestizo face to Juan Diego, so our
Lady of Lavang appeared as a Vietnamese woman to the persecuted
faithful in Vietnam in the 17th century. The people recognized
the Infant Jesus she held in her arms and their faith was renewed. |

We invite you to come and worship with us in English or in Vietnamese,
and sometimes in other languages. We challenge you to enter a journey
to communion with our Lord through the many cultural faces of our
community of faith. |
